A Year To Remember.. 2015 at HaiRadio
It Was An Extraordinary Year At HaiRadio!
There were many memorable accomplishments at HaiRadio.com! 2015 started with a great bang of what was to follow when my return to broadcasting was announced in the New York Daily Newspaper in mid December 2014. The article ran the exact same day as my very first interview with the one-and-only, Reverend Jessie Jackson.
The Hair Radio Morning Show launched on January 5th, 2015 to an audience around the world. The popular program has been around the airwaves for about twenty years. This was the very first time we would produce the show as a 3-hour daily LIVE event. It has really separated us from the heap. The show has emerged as the front runner for any program that is broadcasting about hair for that amount of time -each weekday! It's unheard of ..until NOW!
We've had wonderful guests on the show this year.. everyone from Dionne Warwick, Melba Moore, Antonio Fargas, Lenny Williams, CeCe Peniston. Performers from The O'Jays, The Manhattans and The Gap Band.
The Hair Radio Morning Show's Hair Industry Superstar Guests included folks like Michelle Obama's Hairstylist, JW, Oprah's Make Up Artist, Reggie Wells and the one-and-only Matthew Knowles. Yes. He's Beyonce's father and founded the group, Destiny's Child.
As we embark upon our 200th, three-hour broadcast, we're reminded of just what it was like re-launching the program in 2015. It has not been an easy task to produce and to keep great topics, great guests and make a difference in the lives of our listeners. There's much more to come in 2016! Get Ready!

HaiRadio Book Review: The DNA of Achievers by Matthew Knowles
Recent guest, Matthew Knowles, the Grammy Award Winning Executive Producer of Destiny's Child Shares his advice on succeeding. He's responsible for one the world's biggest music groups ever and now a new author. It's a great title, "The DNA of Achievers (10 Traits of Highly Successful Professionals).
As an Entrepreneur, I'm always interested in any positive reinforcement that can help our Hair Radio Morning Show fans make better decisions about their futures. Matthew Knowles' book talk accomplishes just that!
First, please take a listen to the actual interview as there is such passion in the interview that Matthew Knowles did for the program. It was an excitement that was very honest and real and I completely share that mentality.
Matthew spoke directly to our show fans who are mostly in the hair and beauty industry. He exclaimed that he owned a hair salon in the Houston area for many years along with his former wife, Tina. This was very surprising to me, host of the Hair Radio Morning Show. I had no idea. I thought we were just going to do a typical celebrity type interview. I wouldn't have minded that as it can be a lot of fun to play fans favorite music, etc.
Matthew came right out of the gate at the top of the interview with inspirational talk about several of the traits found in The DNA of Achievers. I jokingly warned him that we would cover only a few like Barbara Walters, I wouldn't reveal the top trait. You must pick up the book to find that out. I still feel that way.

Passion, Work Ethics, Vision, Risk Takers, Team Building, etc.
Matthew and I went down the list to pretty much address the inspiration behind these traits. I also asked right away, following his on-air definition of passion, what was his passion. You'll love the response. I'll let you tune in for that. All of the ideas behind the traits made you think. I say get this book right away!
I'll let you listen in to get the entire benefit of the knowledge he shared but this was so revealing, it's no wonder that he propelled Destiny's Child to the top! He's a great guy and we are big fans.
